My 2012 Lessons

Our lives are a creation process.  We create our life choice by choice.  The lives we each are living are a “school” of sorts.  We make a choice, have an expereince and then learn something, either from that experience or from the person involved in that experience with us.

Here is what I learned in 2012:

*  A stranger can change your life for the good.
*  You cannot trust everyone…some people simply do not have good intentions.
*  Always, always, always trust your gut!
*  Not everyone you meet is meant to stay in your life forever.  As the saying goes, people come into your life for a reason or a season…very rarely a lifetime.
*  I will never do a liver flush again in my life!
*  The syncronistic events in our lives remind us that we are not alone and always watched over.
*  When I get out of my own way, my life happens beautifully all on its own.
*  Family is everything!
*  Never lose hope that someone will make a different choice and change their life for the better.
*  People sometimes disappoint you.  The key is to never disappoint yourself.
*  Not everyone agrees with the choices you make –  they don’t have to.
*  Do not move to Arizona in July when it is 112 degrees!
*  Never give up on your dreams…they do come true if you hang in there.
*  Everything, and I mean everything, happens for a reason.  Trust God knows what he is doing.
*  No matter how much you care, some people just don’t care back.
*  It’s never too late to get your PhD.
*  You cannot control everything, no matter how hard you try.
*  We miss a lot of moments in our lives by not being present.
*  No matter how bad your heart is broken, the sun still comes out tomorrow.
*  I am loved.

Have a blessed and abundant 2013.

Yours,

Chris

What Do You See?

Only as high as I reach can I grow,
Only as far as I seek can I go,
Only as deep as I look can I see,
Only as much as I dream can I be.
~Karen Ravin

In preparation for 12-21-12, please answer the following questions:

1.  Are you reaching as far as you can for the things you want in your life?
There should be nothing on your “unwilling to do” list. As Mary Kay
Ash once said, “If you shoot for the moon and don’t make it, you will fall
among the stars!”
2.  Are your dreams big?  Or do you only dream of what you are sure you can achieve?
Dreaming is a muscle just like your bicep. The more you use it, the bigger
it gets. Don’t be afraid to dream big, what if dreaming big is the exact
state of mind it takes to make that dream come true?
3.  Are you seeing everything in your life, even those things you consider ‘not so pleasant” about yourself?
In order to heal it, you have to feel it. And in order to feel it, you have to
be willing to see it. Growth takes depth, look into your life, not just at it.

12-21-12 is not about the end of the world, it is about the end of life as you know it.  Those energies that kept fear, evil and darkness alive will be no more.  Light now rules the house!  Friday is simply one piece of a major shift that has been happening for the last several years.  We were created to not just live our life, but to create it.  And if you don’t mind me saying, most humans on Mother Earth have created a mess, not just for themselves but for those whose lives they touch as well.  Mother Earth will now intervene.  She needs to come back to a state of balance in order to support the new way of the light.  If you have been living your life honestly, openly and with integrity, you are on the right track.  If those three words do not describe how you have chose to live your life so far, you are in for a ride! A ride of your own creation.

Always remember, God does not do anything to you or allow things to happen.  The world is about balance.  We make a choice; send that choice out into the world and the world responds.  Many of our choices over the last several decades have been fueled by individualism, hate, greed and fear.  Some souls choose to sacrifice their life this time around to help restore that balance and to teach those of us left much needed lessons.  Do not grieve your loss, celebrate their victory!  They are true angels walking the earth.

Take time before Friday to reflect on your life and your choices thus far.  As the cliché goes, Go to the light!!!

Shining brightly,

Chris

Calling All Lightworkers!!!

The soul of humanity is a messenger; YOU are a messenger, and your message is your life.”  ~Don Miguel Ruiz

This past week, we have seen what evil can do.  Now, it is our turn, our turn to turn that around.  Fear is at an all time high on the planet.  Not because we have something to fear, but because that is the emotion many humans are choosing to buy into lately.  What happens on our Mother Earth is only a mirror image of the predominant emotions that we give our most attention to.  If we are giving our attention to fear, we will attract fearful events.  With this week including the ever-fated December 21st, there are many emotions swirling around, mostly that of unfounded fear, anxiety and chaos.

I propose that we deliberately choose to make this week a positive one.  Choose to focus on what you are grateful for in your life, those you love, what you would like to create in your future and send light and love to Mother Earth herself.  We create what we hold our attention on the most.  You must be careful where you hold your attention.  As a collective whole, where we hold our attention is even more powerful.

A dear friend of mine, David Gross of In Spirit, In Light, explains it beautifully.  He uses the equation E=mc2 as an example, giving two possible scenarios for how you can choose to use this universal equation.

Exhaustion = my challenge squared (the more you focus on what is challenging you, the more it will be challenging).

OR

Enthusiasm = my connection squared (the more you focus on your connection to the Divine – understanding that you are God – God living as you – and what you desire will expand).

In order to feel enthusiasm, focus your attention on your connection to those things for which you are grateful and that make you feel good.  Focus on the future you WANT to have instead of the future you may be seeing at the moment.  Seeing is not believing.  You create our reality by believing first and then what we see changes because of that belief.

Create a week of what you choose to believe regardless of what is showing up in your reality right now.  Sometimes things happen to distract us off of our path.  Be the lightworker, light the path by showing those around you how life can be created and changed by a simple belief, by faith.

Gratefully I let go and let God be God as me.” ~prayer by Rev. Angela Peregoff

Keep the faith,

Chris

Tragedy – Why Did This Happen?

“The erosion of our confidence in the future is threatening to destroy the Social and the Political fabric of America. The confidence that we have always had as a people, is not simply some romantic dream, or a proverb in a dusty book that we read, just on the Fourth of July. It is the idea of which founded our nation and has guided us in our development as a people. Confidence in the future has supported everything else. We’ve always believed in a thing called, progress. We’ve always had a faith, that the days of our children, would be better than our own. Our people are losing that faith. For the first time in the history of our country, a majority of our people believe, that the next five years, will be worse than the past five years. We were taught that our armies were always invincible and our causes were always just, only to suffer the agony of Vietnam. We respected the presidency as a place of honor, until the shock of Watergate. We’ve got to stop crying and start sweating. Stop talking and start walking. Working together, with our common faith, we cannot fail.”      ~Jimmy Carter, 1979

When I turned on the news at lunch-time today and saw the tragedy that happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, with tears running down my face I was flooded with thoughts, fears and emotions.  Having been a former President of a Board of Education, and knowing how hard local leaders work to make our children safe, to have something like this happen is unthinkable.

Between the shooting in Oregon at just the beginning of this week, to today’s tragedy, one cannot help but wonder what is happening in our world.  As I watch the news, many are looking to our leaders for answers and solutions.  Can things be done on this level to precipitate change?  Of course, but that is only the beginning.  We as citizens, as humans, need to remember our divine contract.  WE are the ones that have to make the change collectively.  This is not about the President, the school systems or the even the individual who committed this heinous crime, this is about the loss of balance in our thinking and actions as a whole, as humanity.

Tragedies do not happen because God is punishing us or those involved.  Tragedies happen to balance what is out of balance.  What causes us to fall out of balance?  Our individualist thinking, our loss of community, our selfishness, our fear, our focus on those things that fall away such as material items versus those things that matter such as the ones we love and our relationships.  God and his angels watch these events with tears falling down their faces just as we do, and they are there to surround those who are suffering and hold the space so healing can happen.  But God is not to blame.  God does not “allow” this to happen, we do.  He created this reality for us to be joyful, loving and live in a “paradise.”  WE are the ones who fell out of balance.  We took our free-will to a place that no longer serves us.

The energies surrounding us at this time will no longer tolerate hate crimes and individualist thinking.  Time has run out.  It is time to change.  Those little ones who died today sacrificed their souls to show us that our children cannot be vulnerable anymore and to show us that we need to drastically change.

Pray for those who have crossed over, pray for those who survived and have to now cope with what they witnessed, pray for our leaders to make the necessary changes to move us in the right direction, but most importantly, pray that YOU are strong enough to make the changes that you need to make to step up and be the person you were born to be.  If we each do our small part, we can change the world.

In honor of the little angels and adults who sacrificed their lives for our learning today…Love and light to you all.

Chris

Psalm 147:3         “Heal the broken-hearted and bind up their wounds.”

12-12-12

So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they’re busy doing things they think are important. This is because they’re chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.” ~ Morrie Schwartz

With that said, there is a spiritual meaning around the number 12 as well as for the date 12-21-12 (which I will write about in a future blog).  For now, let’s focus on today, 12-12-12.

All numbers have a meaning.  If you watch the television show “Numb3rs”, you know that numbers are powerful tools that can balance a bad bank account or solve a crime.  The number 12 exemplifies the power of your thoughts.  If you follow my blog and have read my book, you have heard before how much your thoughts, positive or negative, influence your reality.

We are in a time where the amnesia that has kept us thinking we are small is lifting.  We are beginning to remember our own divine birthright of co-creating our life.  We are realizing our ability to re-spond, or according to Reverend Angela Peregoff, “ponder the consequences of our actions and choices and thoughts.”  We are beginning to clearly see what kind of life we have created, choice by choice.

12-12-12 begins an activation cycle of abundance.  Abundance of vitality, energy and realization of old patterns and ways of being that are currently limiting your every action.  This is done via a vortex.  A vortex is a site of intense energy that usually makes you feel positive, rejuvenated, introspective and spiritually connected.  From December 12th-December 21st, grand vortexes are activated and portals that have been closed for centuries will be opened.  What does this mean?  This means that we will be given the energetic backing we need to change our lives.  But don’t jump for joy too soon.  This will only be the case if you are one of the ones who have been working on your spiritual development consciously; moving forward on the path of increasing your own personal vibration to bring you closer to being one with all that is around you.  Sounds too woo-woo?

Consider this, have you noticed lately that certain situations or types of people keep popping up in your life lately?  This is happening for one of three reasons:

  1. To show you how far you have come since the last time that situation occurred.
  2. To give you one more shot at balancing or healing the situation (or some aspect of yourself).
  3. To show you that there is nothing more that you can do about the situation.  Turn it over to the angels and God and stay away from the person or situation.

All of these situations have been giving you chances to “make things right” before these portals open.  If you are one of the ones that has been doing your work, you will experience the rest of this month as energetic, positive, you will have breakthroughs, major changes may occur in your life and you may even have spiritual gifts rise to the surface.  If you have not been doing your work, these times may manifest as chaotic, full of anxiety and fear, confusing and you may feel as if you want to jump out of your skin because you are at the end of your rope.

However you experience the rest of this month, know that it is never too late.  No soul is ever forgotten.  Know that whatever your situation looks like at this moment, it is all for the ultimate good.  You will be protected and watched over.  We are not alone in this, trust me.

Spend today meditating, deep breathing and focusing on what you want to create in your life.  Ask yourself what needs to change and why you are afraid to change it?  Take an inventory of the people in your life.  Who uplifts you and gets to stay in your life and who drags you down, telling you it’s time for them to leave?

Stay positive, watch your thoughts and keep moving forward.  Don’t worry, you’ve got this!  😉

Waking up,

Chris

N.C.I.S.

If you always listen to the advice of others and ignore yourself, you will be living their life, not yours.”  ~Chris Sopa

Change is scary.  We are not scared of the change itself, we are scared of the unknown around the change.  For some reason we seem to think that if we can figure out the how that we will be guaranteed a successful outcome.  Hmmm, I can think of several things that happened to me in my life where I had all of the details controlled and it still did not work out the way I would have liked.  “Knowing” does not necessarily constitute success.

I am an N.C.I.S. junkie, I’ll admit it.  It is nothing for me to sit and watch five or six episodes in a row.  If you find yourself at a crossroads, feeling the need to make a major life change, follow my N.C.I.S. rules:

N = Nurture (Rule #12) – Spend some time nurturing yourself – some quiet time, where you can really sit and not just think, but feel what is coming up for you.  How do you feel when you think of the change you want to make?  There is a difference between fear of the unknown and fear because something is not good for you.  You know the difference.

C = Consciousness (Rule #18)  – Self-awareness, or in other words,  consciousness around yourself, your habits, your patterns of behavior, etc. is the number one key to making any changes in your life.  You must be aware of yourself enough to be able to read what your physical, emotional and spiritual bodies are trying to tell you.

I = Intuition (Rule #40) – Intuition is not just a gift for the “gifted,” it is something we all have.  Those gut feelings that guide you in the right direction every time is the physical manifestation of guidance from above.  Practice trusting your gut.  It leads you in the right direction every time and the more you trust it, the more information it gives you.

S = Sacredness (Rule #25) – The term sacred does not necessarily have to mean something religious.  Something is sacred if you make it sacred.  Washing the dishes can be sacred if you say so.  Make your life a sacred journey.  Is what you are doing right now something that brings you joy?  Would you consider it sacred?  If not, maybe it’s time for a change?

Regardless of what you choose, you will never go wrong at the end of the day if the choice is yours.  Whether it works out or not, it ends up how it was meant to be.  The Universe is a kind place.  Nothing happens that is not meant for the ultimate good.

Think and feel for yourself, in the end, all that matters is you lived the life YOU chose to live.

Following Rule #1,

Sopa

Are You A Master?

Things happen to us in our lives.  People hurt us, we are disappointed, things don’t go as we expected.  This was not the life we signed up for, or is it?

I believe that we signed up for exactly the life we are living.  I know what you are thinking, “Sopa, have you gone mad!  Why would I sign up for this?”  If you are experiencing suffering, sorrow or pain at the moment, ask yourself this question:  Who would I be if this experience never happened to me?  Would you have the same people in your life?  Would you have taken the steps you did for growth without that experience?

Yes, things happen in our lives that hurt.  But nothing that has happened to you has been meant to break you or reduce you to something less than who you are.  Whatever has happened to you has happened to make you into who you are!

Do not allow experiences or people to take away your power.  You may have physically mastered this life but being able to hold on to your power means that you have mentally, emotionally and spiritually mastered your life.  Have you?

Being a Master entails being self-aware at all times.  Not being afraid to ask questions such as, What is really going on here?  What is the Universe (God) trying to show me?  What is the lesson underneath all of this?  No matter how painful the experience is at this time.  Sometimes what we see is not so pretty.  When something has been hiding in the dark for a time, it tends to be pretty rancid and smelly.  Maybe it’s time for a shower?  A shower not of water but of compassion, understanding and love, love for yourself.  Understanding that you did the best you could in each moment of your life based on where and who you were at that time.  Have compassion for yourself instead of being so hard on yourself day in and day out.  We fear crucifixion by others but the one we should truly fear is ourselves.  We are the ones that create our own hell or heaven.  We create our reality daily by where we choose to put our attention.  Where is your attention today?  Is it on what you have lost or is it on what you are grateful for that is still in your life?  Are you breathing today?  That is one huge reason to be grateful.  Put your head and reason aside and learn to use your heart and what I like to call, your “hidden senses.”

Reason knows when to step aside, the way the sense of smell is uninvolved when reading a book, like a telescope that cannot take us to the stars but that lets us know the stars are there.  Reason points us to what lies beyond itself.”  ~L. Pascal

There is something beyond what we see and what we currently think of as “real.”  Our five senses do not give us the whole picture, only a portion of it.  You cannot see electricity but you know it exists because you use it every day.  Just because you can no longer see and physically feel a loved one, why do you assume they are no longer there?  Practice using your senses of intuition and feeling.  Trust them.  Those senses are more “real” than the ones in your physical world.  No one can change them, alter them or hurt them.  They exist in your heart and you are the one that gets to determine how “real” what you experience really is.  No one else.

Be your own Master and create the world you want to experience.

Masterfully yours,

Chris

Cast Aside All Doubt

by:  Ernest Holmes

Cast aside all doubt, O Soul of mine, and be unafraid, for Thy power is from On High.
He who sitteth in the heavens shall be Thy champion;
Thou need not fear; Come forth, O Spirit, from within and express Thyself through me and let not my doubts hinder Thy approach.
My faith shall go forth to meet Thee, and my confidence shall embrace Thee.
My waiting thought shall bid Thee welcome to my house of Love,
And joy shall accompany us through the ages yet to come.
I lay aside all fear and doubt.
